Q: How far is the airport from Port Canaveral?

A: It's about a 45-minute drive from the airport to Port Canaveral.

Q: What is the closest hotel?

A: If you decide to start your trip early or stay late, there are plenty of hotels in and around Port Canaveral that offer free shuttle services and parking.

Q: What is Orlando’s airport code?

A: If you’re flying in, the airport code for Orlando is MCO.

Q: Can I get transportation from the airport to the cruise terminal?

A: Absolutely! There are shuttle services available to take you from the airport to the cruise terminal and back, though there is a cost for this service.

Q: Do I need a passport for the Bahamas?

A: Since your trip starts and ends at a U.S. port, you do not need a passport to travel to the Bahamas.

Q: What documents will I need?

A: You'll need a government-issued ID (like a driver's license or state ID) and a birth certificate. Starting May 7, 2025, a REAL ID will be required for travel.

Q: What time should I arrive at the ship?

A: Boarding starts at 2:30 p.m. and the ship departs at 3:30 p.m. We recommend arriving at the terminal at least an hour early to account for any unforeseen delays.

Q: Do I need insurance?

A: Insurance isn't required but it’s highly recommended. It’s a small investment that can cover you in case of unexpected circumstances. Let us know if you’d like insurance and we can assist you.

Q: What are gratuities?

A: Gratuities are fees charged by the cruise line, typically around $16 per person per day. For a 4-day cruise, you’ll pay about $64 per person.
